A regular customer of ours every year joined us again today and brought a few new fishermen with him to experience the great trip.
8 Kings, 1 trout, and 1 coho rounded out the box today.
On the 7th we fished deep and caught 4 kings. Can’t remember the last time one of our customers had such a great time just being on the water….catching fish was just a bonus!
The 9th we tried fishing a little closer in, working in front of the piers just before dark. Odd season in front of the pier, no salmon, but we did end up with a Sheepshead. Had 8 kings and 4 trout off shore before we went in; so, while no fish in front of the piers we still came in with a great chest of fish.
Weather isn’t cooperating, just a trip Friday evening on Labor Day weekend, but we caught fish. 7 Kings and 1 Steelhead for the evening trip.
Hoping the weather will get a bit better and let us get some more end of the year fishing in!
A quiet week of fishing, only one charter this week with rough weather kicking us off the water. Had a great trip on the 24th with 13 fish that were all big steelhead, coho, and kings making a great variety for the ice chest.
This week started to show an increase in the reliability of fish and the numbers caught. Average was closer to the 10 fish per trip mark, with both morning and afternoon producing fish.
Six trips this week kept us going, but we can always do more and get more fish in for customers!
Most of the fish were set up around 90-100 FOW as they start to set up for the fall run.
