Really slow morning the fish just were not cooperating. Then they started to bite and bite and bite. Came in with a respectable 10 fish. As we all know the Lady of the house always catches the largest fish and today was no different. Nice catch.
Well Leave it to Captain Eric to come in with a great catch. We were a little concerned about weather today but Mother Nature must have a soft heart for this crew. It was very fishable with 2 footers letting us know we are on Lake Michigan. Worked 100 foot of water for most of the day. More than 20 bites – 13 fish and let one juvenile go. Fabulous action this morning with bites coming from 80-150 foot of water. One of those days where the Salmon had a mind of their own. Over 15 fish on and 6 in the boat. Great group of guys doing a little corporate fun time. And I believe they closed the 80 million dollar deal – just thought I would put that in here in case their boss reads it.
The afternoon proved to be very similar. Tough fishing for the first 3-4 hours and then all sorts of action. Even had three on at once. Boy is that fun!! Excellent rod handling from one of our newest customers. We were very impressed with his fishing ability. Hope to see you soon. With all his effort in helping run lines and even taking care of things on the ride in the first mate (Cal) enjoyed his day eating bon bons. Well maybe it was not that relaxed.
