Looks like Lake Trout are the catch right now. 6 in the box, and 1 released today.
Hoping the salmon start showing up, but until then, the Lake Trout put up a fun fight also!
A group that has joined us for many repeated seasons pulled 3 Lake Trout and 2 King Salmon to the boat and home to the freezer.

4 Kings, 1 Steelhead, 1 Lake Trout, 1 Coho, and all we were missing was the Brown Trout to complete the ever elusive Lake Michigan Grand Slam….maybe next time!

The morning was pretty rough so we pushed the fishing back to the afternoon when it was calmer and we were rewarded.
