Late Bite This Morning, but Fish in the Box

Great morning of fishing, a bit foggy inland but great out on the lake where we saw the sun rise over the dunes. Fish didn’t get up early though. Bite started late this morning, around 10:30am (maybe we could have slept in a bit, but you never know).

Fish came in 180 feet of water, and they all came pretty much at once. Went 6 for 9 before we had to head in at noon. Best bait was on green flashers and flies on dipseys, both low and high.

A full week of fishing ahead, and hopefully more catching just like this morning!

Catching up on Posting…Good Last Days of Fishing!

It’s hard to keep up on posting on the page when we are busy catching fish! Don’t you wish you were here doing that with us?

Great fishing the last few days. This morning we came home with 8 big fish and we didn’t even start fishing ’til after 8am!

IMG_20140719_172545_883Best fish came in 180-200 feet of water fishing with 300′ copper lines with Buzz’s meat rigs.

The season is starting to heat up towards the end of summer and soon we will be fishing the fall run. Schedule now to get in on the few last charters of the year before the fall run.

Nice big fishing hitting lately

IMG_20140721_210409_148The fish have been big and consistent lately, with the water warming up the fishing has stabilized.

This fish not only put up a great fight but its even big enough to be tough to lift when its on land! Bet he won’t fight as hard on the grill.

Went fishing with my own family, next time it could be yours!

IMG_20140719_173217_241Sometimes, we even go fishing just for ourselves (not on a charter). We just can’t get enough of this!

I couldn’t resist posting these pictures of my son Jacob’s first fishing success. And yes, he did reel these in. Click the video below to watch how we do it with little kids.

Nice Crew we Met a Couple Years Ago

Capt Jeff had a treat today with a nice Family from Indiana.  A couple of great Dads out for fun with the young guys.  We had em from 7 years old on up to High Schoolers.  The Kings are a coming.   So we worked hard at finding them.  Caught two really nice Kings and a trophy Steelhead again.  Followed that up with a few Lake Trout to round out the day.  Kings out a little deeper than the trout 120-150 foot of water.
